Two important concepts for high traffic throughput junctions are giving some tracks priority over others, and balancing traffic across multiple lines both of which require the use of presignals. The first step to building anything complicated is to learn how to use the signals. This was rebuilt three times and ended up with 24 platforms. The biggest station is the town drop, with 1,115 trains stopping there (basically everything except coal ended up going there). I built organically, starting with a single loop main line (to avoid having to fit huge mainline junctions in) and expanded/rebuilt lines, junctions and stations as traffic increased. The number of trains increased rapidly, and I finished with almost 1400 trains on a 512x256 map. I recently played a game where the plan was to service every primary industry using trains that were only two tiles in length. buses delivering passengers to a big trainstation), since you can construct big vehicle stations. cars are simplay very slow, but you can use them for small feeder networks (e.g. airplanes are very fast, but airports are limited in size and thus cannot handle the huge amounts of goods that you can move around with trains. also they move very slow, which lessens profit. ships only need one dock, but they are restricted to waterways. you can of course also use planes, ships and cars, but these are not only boring, but they aren't as efficient as trains for most tasks. Trains are usually the mostly used form of transportation, because they offer a lot of possibilities and challenges. in order to do so, you have to construct big junctions and stations to handle the amount of trains coming through. ![]() this is done, because long lines are giving the most profit. this facility needs a big station for drop off and another big station to take all the crates and deliver them to a city (which also rquires a big station). oil, wood, cattle) to one single producing facility. Most of the rest of Texas, and Oklahoma northwest of Interstate 44, remained mostly or completely dry. Some of this rainfall was associated with a severe thunderstorm outbreak, which was responsible for a destructive tornado that reached a maximum intensity of EF4 in Rolling Fork, Miss. Over 2 inches of rain fell across large areas of Arkansas and Tennessee, while heavier rains farther south in Louisiana and Mississippi were more scattered in nature. Parts of north-central Texas and Oklahoma (especially southeast of Interstate 44) saw moderate to heavy rain amounts from thunderstorms, exceeding an inch or two in a few spots. SouthĪside from Oklahoma and southwest Texas, near-normal or warmer-than-normal temperatures were common across much of the South region, with some locations seeing temperatures 5-10 degrees warmer than normal. Severe short-term drought increased over a large swath of the Florida Peninsula, excluding the immediate Miami area, and extreme drought developed in parts of southwest Florida where the worst fire danger existed. In Hendry and Collier counties, natural firebreaks had completely dried. ![]() In the Florida Peninsula, continued dry weather led to stress in crops and other vegetation and increased wildfire danger. Scattered rains of 2 inches or more fell in southern Alabama and southwest Georgia, leading to localized improvement in ongoing abnormal dryness and moderate drought. The eastern end of the heavy rain bands led to the removal of abnormal dryness from part of northeast South Carolina, while areas nearby to the south that missed the rain saw degrading conditions. In these regions, rainfall amounts ranged from 2 to 5 inches in some areas, with a few locally higher amounts. Heavy rains fell in parts of the Southeast region this week, especially in central Alabama, central and northern Georgia and central South Carolina. Temperatures across the region were warmer than normal this week, with most spots seeing readings from 2 to 10 degrees above normal. For reasons similar to the expansion of moderate drought in Maryland, abnormal dryness expanded across parts of central and eastern Virginia, Delaware and southeast Pennsylvania. Except for southern Maryland, where moderate drought expanded this week due to short-term precipitation deficits, decreased streamflow and increasing soil moisture shortfalls, the rest of the Northeast region remained free of drought this week. ![]() Otherwise, roughly a half inch of precipitation fell in most other areas, with some totals in the 1-2 inch range in northern West Virginia and western Pennsylvania. Southern Virginia remained mostly dry this week, as did parts of central New England. Temperatures northeast of Virginia and West Virginia were less than 8 degrees above normal, with anomalies decreasing to a few degrees above normal in New England. NortheastĮxcept for far northern Maine, the Northeast saw warmer-than-normal temperatures this week, with the warmest weather (compared to normal) occurring in Virginia and West Virginia, where temperatures reached 8 to 10 degrees above normal. For more specific details, please refer to the regional paragraphs below. Conditions also worsened in northwest Puerto Rico and the southern Puerto Rico coast, the latter of which reported nearby forest fires. In the Mid-Atlantic, short- and long-term drought and abnormal dryness grew a bit in coverage this week. Very dry recent weather continued in the Florida Peninsula, where severe drought expanded in coverage and extreme drought developed in response to quickly increasing fire danger. Farther west in northwest Oklahoma and western Kansas, extreme and exceptional drought persisted or intensified. The western edge of heavy rains this week fell mostly along and southeast of the Interstate 44 corridor in Oklahoma and western north Texas, leading to further tightening of an already tight drought condition gradient in these areas. East of the Rockies, drought and abnormally dry conditions mostly stayed the same or worsened in the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles, northwest Oklahoma, and central and southeast Texas. MaAfter the wet pattern continued in parts of the West this week, building off of widespread wet and snowy weather this winter, widespread improvements were made to the drought depiction, especially in northern California, northern Nevada, southern Idaho and Utah, with scattered changes, mostly improvements, also taking place in other western states. ![]() The only competency where participants initially scored in the “meets expectations” range was “approach to the patient.” When raw competence scores were assessed for changes from pre- to post-SBE training, the paired t-test indicated significant increases in all 7 competency areas following the simulation-based training (P<0.001). Results The proportions of participants with initial competence ranged from 0% to 44% across the 7 skill areas assessed.Scores were analyzed for participants’ initial competence and change in competence. ![]() Video recordings of the SP encounters were scored to assess competence in 7 skill areas within the NFPE. Next, participants completed a 90-minute SBE training session on skills within the NFPE, including hands-on practice and role play, followed by a post-training SP encounter. Following a pre-briefing session, participants completed an initial 10-minute encounter, performing NFPE on a standardized patient (SP). Methods Eighteen practicing RDNs were recruited by their employer, Spectrum Health.Using a standardized instrument to measure performance on a newly-required clinical skill, the nutrition-focused physical exam (NFPE), competence was measured both before and after a simulation-based education (SBE) session. Purpose This study aimed to translate simulation-based dietitian nutritionist education to clinical competency attainment in a group of practicing registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs). Some of the game's humor comes from puns and other forms of word play: as an auto mechanic, one of the nine varieties of tires the player can give customers resembles a chocolate-covered doughnut with sprinkles as a play on the informal term "donut tires" often used to describe compact spare tires that are generally unsuitable for driving long distances as a chef, the player is instructed to bake a cake for an underage customer's birthday party, and one of the ingredients is a flower, which sounds phonetically similar to " flour." The instructor also continually comments on the human nature of the jobs being at odds with the efficiency of robots, the obsolescence of humans in general, and at one point references an event called "the human uprising of 2027". Much of the game's humor comes from both stereotypical and exaggerated situations in the jobs performed as a chef, the player is asked to bribe a food critic and navigate around the particular allergies of an underage customer having a birthday (however, the game doesn't punish you if you don't) as a car mechanic, the boss instructs the player to sabotage cars or strip a car for parts. The player is also free to mess around with the various objects in their reach, such as throwing things in trash cans or at robots, eating food lying around or taking the sunglasses off a customer. ![]() When performing car repairs in the auto-mechanic simulation, players can choose what style of parts to use as replacements (for example, when replacing a flat tire, the player can choose from any of 9 available tire styles) and are allowed to perform repairs and replacements that aren't requested by the customer. For example, when cooking pizza in the chef simulation, players can choose any ingredient they can reach, such as bacon, eggs, apples, or cookies to use as pizza toppings. The player is often afforded a large amount of creative freedom in how they complete a task. Once the player completes all four job simulations, they're offered a variety of modifiers that change the physics of the gameplay. After completing a certain amount of tasks, the player is offered to go back to the museum or continue interacting with the environment. ![]() ![]() Most objects within the player's reach can be interacted with - many can be picked up and manipulated, while fixed objects such as keyboards and appliances will have buttons, levers, or dials that the player can utilize. Using the motion controllers of the HTC Vive, Oculus Touch, PlayStation Move, Windows Mixed Reality headsets, Valve Index, PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers, or depending on the platform, to represent their hands, players interact with the virtual environment similarly to how they would in real life. For example, in the "Office Worker" simulation, players engage in activities like evaluating new employees and transferring calls, but are also called upon to eat doughnuts, share photos at the water cooler, and participate in other office tasks. Accompanied by a computer character who provides exposition and instructions, players perform tasks associated with that occupation, some of them realistic and others comical. The jobs are represented as tongue-in-cheek approximations of real occupations: " Auto Mechanic", " Gourmet Chef", " Store Clerk" and " Office Worker". ![]() Players participate in simulated jobs in a job museum run by robots resembling floating CRT computer monitors with faces. For the ordinary user, CR2 files tend to be converted to more accessible image file types, like the JPG format, meaning they undergo some compression and there’s some loss of quality.ĬR2 files are easily opened, and can be opened by Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Photos, Apple Photos and Preview for macOS. There is no batch edit, but you can copy and paste adjustments from one photo to another. Raw image files, like the CR2 file, are used by photographers when printing because they often want the highest-quality print they can get - therefore, they use the sharpest picture available. This means that the file is incredibly crisp and high quality but also large in size. A CR2 file, like other raw image files, is a file that hasn’t undergone any processing or compression, meaning the image data has been stored in a way that mirrors exactly what was captured by the camera’s sensor. MetaImage is the only macOS tool that allows to edit, read, and write metadata while working with all types of tag formats. A CR2 file format also goes by its full name of a Canon Raw version 2 image file, and, as the name implies, it’s a raw image file that’s been created by a Canon digital camera. |
